SUCCESS STORIES

This past summer I auditioned for a musical production and decided to take a few voice lessons in preparation. I had only three lessons with Bria before the audition, but I was amazed by the progress I was able to make. Bria has an incredible gift for teaching; she is easy to talk to and encouraging and demonstrates techniques clearly, giving vivid images to help mentally ground those techniques. I ended up getting the lead role and have had the pleasure of studying with Bria through the show and beyond (she is now helping me prepare for college auditions). She is a well rounded musician, having taught me musical theatre, foreign language, and folk pieces. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

Everyone can learn to sing because all of the tools you need to sing with are inside of you.  My teaching approach is student centered. I take the time to learn about you, study your singing habits and help you learn how to find YOUR voice.  Great singing requires you to be very intune with your body and the muscles that you use when you sing in all genres of music.  Great singers are people who are educated about what muscles to use, who focus on muscle memory to remember what good singing feels like in different genres, and who sing with passion. Anyone can learn to sing if you are willing to do the work and if you have the heart to give it all you’ve got.
